Project description

This study investigates selected mechanisms of salt tolerance in eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) by using both tolerant and sensitive genotypes. Different growth stages were taken into account: seedling stage, vegetative and generative phase. The primary carbon metabolism as well as plant water relations and metabolic adaptations were studied. Sodium and chloride sequestration in aerial/root parts was also taken into account.
