Project description

The bacterial storage compound poly-beta-hydroxybutyrate (PHB) has a positive effect on the survival, growth and protection of aquaculture animals. It is not yet known what is the mechanism behind these observations. The goal of this research is to elucidate the activity of PHB and its interactions with the intestinal microbiota to optimize the use of PHB in practice.
