Project description

Recently, a link between neuro-inflammation and the etiology of neurodegenerative affections, such as Alzheimer's disease, has been demonstrated. In this study, we will investigate how neurotransmitters can modulate the function of the pro-inflammatory transcription factor NFkB. We will perform in vitro assays using astrocyte cell models as well as in vivo experiments with rodent models.
