Project description
Price rigidity is an important driving force of the business cycle, so knowing the degree and sources of price rigidity is of the utmost importance for scientific and policy puposes using supermarket scanner data, we compare pricing behaviour between Europe and the US and test the importance of implicit contracts and deep habit formation as potential sources of price rigidity.
