This ID project aims to build a network with a threshold-lowering effect, so that the different actors involved in product and process innovation, can find each other more easily. The following expectations of the Flemish confectionery companies should be met: providing and perpetuating one point of contact for all technology issues and opportunities regarding confectionery; the transfer of basic product and process knowledge and scientific research strategy for the Flemish confectionery sector; helping develop and consolidate a network where information is readily available and can be efficiently exchanged; help innovate the Flemish confectionery companies, and thus perpetuate their national and international competitiveness and their export opportunities and expand.
