Project description

There are still important questions about the cause and optimal treatment of MS. Central to the onset of the disease is inflammation in addition to more "degenerative" non-inflammatory factors. In our research, we want to investigate how the stress hormone norepinephrine can influence these two elements of the disease. We will do this by modulating the production of norepinephrine by the brain with different techniques and by looking at how we can influence the disease in a laboratory animal model.
