Project description
In plants, glutathione is known to have a critical influence on salicylic acid activation in response to various stresses. This PhD project aims to decipher the cellular mechanisms, the signalling pathways and the genetic actors participating in the transducing of glutathione signals into salicylic acid synthesis. Three strategies are employed in Arabidopsis: a physiological study of the response to glutathione, a transcriptomic analysis of glutathione-responsive genes and a forward genetic screen.
