Project description

Topic of this research are the physiological and molecular processes acting during root regeneration. The lateral and adventitious root induction capacity of different plant growth regulators and chemical compounds (Bert De Rybel, 2009) is investigated in a screen using Arabidopsis thaliana root- and shoot segments. Complementary, the compounds are tested for rooting of recalcitrant shoots in cooperation with propagation companies.
