Project description

Typical petroleum or bio-oil samples contain thousands of individual hydrocarbon compounds and their heteroatom derivatives. Many of them exist in extremely low concentrations. Improved characterization of sulfur and nitrogen containing compounds will allow to gain understanding about how these species react and how they are formed in biochemical and petrochemical processes.
