Project description
The critically endangered Cappadocian Greek dialect was thoroughly influenced by the Turkish language on all grammatical levels. This project analyses how Turkish patterns were replicated by reorganising Greek elements (‘pattern replication’) and focuses on three case studies: 1) the use of the additive particle ke as a topic shift marker 2) concessive conditionals 3) the relative clause.
