Project description

Stress associated reexcretion of Salmonella Typhimurium by pigs shortly before slaughter results in carcass contamination and thus Salmonella contamination of pork (productes). In this project, the mechanism of stress associated reextreation of Salmonella by pigs will be examined using in vitro and in vivo models.
