Project description

In continental welfare states, a historically new process of institutional hybridization is taking place, resulting in a new phase of institutional hybridization. This project examines the consequences for citizens’ voluntary engagement by means of a case study of a ‘classic’ and ‘hybrid’ nonprofit organization, involving an analysis at multiple levels and focusing on volunteers, professionals, and clients.
