Project description
Root knot nematodes (RKN) secrete effectors into host plants during infection. These effectors interact with host proteins, influencing plant defence and development. We use the CrY2H system to establish group-to-group interactions between RKN effectors and Arabidopsis transcription factors. Several of these interactions will then be studied further to understand their role in the infection process.
