This project embeds human and social scientists in R&D laboratories to collaboratively reconfigure narratives of ongoing high-tech research. Possible cases include laboratories in epigenetics, chemical engineering, synthetic biology, structural engineering, and machine learning. Each offers a site for socio-technical collaboration, where unearthing, unpacking, and reconfiguring the narratives that undergird daiy-to-day R&D practice become key to exploring its complex social fabric and navigating pathways towards responsible innovation.
