Project description
Blocking sets play a central role in finite projective spaces. Their central role follows from their use in the study of other geometrical structures, and in study of topics in related areas, such as coding theory. Within this project, blocking sets are characterized, and problems in coding theory are investigated in which blocking sets appear.
