Project description
To evaluate animal, plant protein and fibre intakes and its associations with obesity indicators in European and Chinese adolescents. European adolescents were recruited in the HELENA-CSS* and Chinese adolescents in the Chinese Health and Nutrition survey. Dietary intakes will be compared with international recommendation and health effects of protein & fibre intakes in the prevention of obesity will be examined.
