UGent researchers have recently developed, patented and published the first alternative chemical system for vitrimination, built around vinyloge urethanes as dynamic and versatile chemical "links", which offer many benefits at material level. A convincing but fairly limited series of examples was submitted with the priority application. Additional examples and data will be required to support the requested claims. A first industrial cooperation on this new UGent technology has already started.
