Project description

To provide a more comprehensive description of nematode biodiversity from two Indonesian cropping systems: a typical humid tropics agro-ecosystem (to be selected by Indonesia), and a typical upland system where potato are grown as a part of the crop rotation.
To provide a simple, efficient and reproducible barcoding assay for reliable identification of nematodes from Indonesia (UGent).
Assess the overall nematode diversity in agro-ecosystems versus neighbouring semi-natural ecosystems for both the tropical and the upland areas in Indonesia.
