Project description

The essence of this project proposal is to find out how mobile storage of EVs and charging infrastructure can offer an alternative to household batteries in the current context to reduce network congestion and increase the self-consumption of prosumers. The result should gain a better understanding of whether a private investment in an electric car and the current advanced charging infrastructure can, in addition to mobile needs, also provide technically viable social added value to the current challenges of the distribution network.
In particular, the project will provide a road map in which various simulations and test cases qualitatively analyze the most important technological choices (= current investment opportunities in storage) with associated opportunities and limitations. Each choice is tested for their impact in order to increase self-consumption and reduce network congestion compared to the installed PV.
