Project description
Overactivity of ergoreceptors, muscle afferents sensitive to metabolic products, are thought to be responsible for exercise intolerance in heart failure. In the current era of heart failure management, the contribution of ergoreflex activity to hyperventilation is investigated. Additional studies are also started on the relationship between new biomarkers and exercise variables and on the effects of exercise training in heart failure.
