The project is focussed on the classification of finite semifields, a classical problem in algebra. The study of semifields was initiated about a century ago by Leonard Eugene Dickson, and by 1960 the relevance of semifields in finite geometry was well known. The overall aim is to obtain constructions, and classification results on semifields and related structures in finite geometry.
