Project description

Ethylene (ethene) plays a major role in vegetative development and stress responses in plants. Current research is focused on feedback machanisms between ethylene signaling and biosynthesis, and the effects of small molecules on the ethylene pathway. Accurate measurement of minute amounts of ethylene emanating from plant is obtained with a laser-based photoacoustic detector.
