Project description

Glycosylation can have a profound effect on the biological and physicochemical properties of a molecule. The aim of this project is to expand the donor specificity of sucrose phosphorylase by means of directed evolution, so that it can be used for the transfer of different monosaccharides to important acceptors like drugs and flavour compounds.
