The CRAFTH hackathon provides a unique learning opportunity and environment for PhD students, professionals and companies in the field of product design, engineering, logistics, consumer psychology and sustainability interested in gaining insights on Circular Design in an intensive and
handson manner and will generate insights and tools for the participants to give tangible answers on megatrends like circularity, digitalisation and additive manufacturing. The aim of the project is to provide suggestions for integral solutions towards more circular products, consisting of prototypes together with business model, materials, logistics and promotion strategies. Companies are asked to submit project cases that, in their perspective, crucially meet the demand for a more circular approach. Teaming up PhD students with professionals in multidisciplinary teams of various backgrounds will result in a meaningful exchange of academic, front end, research and applied research from industry. Furthermore the coaching staff will strive to match the research activities of the various PhD students to the industry cases.
