Project description

Recently a new methodology for the synhesis of 2-phosphonoisoindoles from x-aminophosphonates was developed at the department of organic chemistry of the faculty of bioscience engineering. The reaction comprises a 5-exo-dig cyclisation, a [1,3]-alkyl shift and spontaneous aromatisation. This project will develop this strategy towards the synthesis of new classes of heterocyclic phosphonates and analoguous heterocycles.
