Project description

This project aims at investigating the conceptions of inference and contextual reasoning in Jainism by editing, translating and studying Prabhâcandra's tenth century Prameyakamalamârtanda, The sun that grows the lotuses of the knowable. This investigation will be developed within the perspective of a dialogue between theories about reasoning in classical India and contemporary Western developments in interactive and dynamic logics.
