We propose the addition of mutations into enzymes for industrially relevant reactions to increase their activity and stability . These enzymes include transaminases, hydrolases and lactone esterases. Furthermore, we attempt to evaluate the effect of mutations in the catalytic activity and substrate preference of the enzyme.
