Project description
chlamydia psittaci is an obligatie intracellular bacterium causing respiratory disease in birds. thee are 9 genotypes within the species. some genotypes ar more cirulent. the molecular mechanisms behand these biological differences are not understood. this project wants to find out if the pmp protein family might play a role in the difference in virulence, host specificity and tissue tropism.
