Project description
The bed shape of estuaries and tidal inlets naturally tends to an equilibrium, induced by the tidal water motion. Only at the cost of dredging and other measures, other shapes (e.g. deepened fairways) can be maintained. To optimize these measures, novel 2D numerical methods are developed to identify these equilibria and investigate their stability and sensitivity to sea level rise.
