Project description

The weight regulating hormone leptin plays a crucial role in the onset and progression of a series of T-cell mediated auto-immune diseases, like multiple sclerosis (MS). The aim of the project is to design and evaluate nanobodies, a relatively new technique based on the use of camel antibodies, directed against the leptin receptor in a relapsing-remitting MS model.
