The aim of the research line is to analyze the response to juvenile delinquency from a legal perspective. This analysis is done from different perspectives.
- The phenomenological perspective analyzes the extent to which the behavior and context in which juvenile delinquency is committed are adequately anchored in criminal law in particular
- The psycho-pedagogical perspective analyzes whether the legal framework is sufficiently attuned to the insights into childhood perception and the development of children (gradual competence acquisition) as shown by existing psychological and pedagogical research.
- The legal position perspective analyzes the extent to which young people who have committed or are suspected of committing a juvenile offense can benefit from a legal position in accordance with international standards
- The procedural perspective analyzes the extent to which the criminal procedure applicable to minors is in accordance with international standards and is also interpreted and applied in this way in practice
