The proposed project presents linguistic ethnographic, multimodal and discourse analytical research on podcasting, with a focus on interaction and question/answer sequences. Drawing on preliminary published work by the applicant on dramatization, dedramatisation and ventriloquism in podcasts, the project sets out to conduct groundbreaking work on the affordances of this relatively new medium as well as on the new light it may shed on institutional and professional communication practices.
