Project description

This research will analyze how specific urban spaces in the congolese cities of Matadi and Lubumbashi developed between 1885 and 1960. Physical urban form will be studied on various scales (city, neighbourhood, street, building) from a translocal perspective and be related to an analysis of the impact of migration on the creation of these cities.
