The project for which I want to use the basic funding is an extension of my current research into the legal and legal philosophical consequences of the free will debate, and more specifically the free will-skeptical position that I take in this debate. I want to use that funding to open up and further explore open historical, philosophical and legal issues. Here I am thinking of the somewhat neglected debate on philosophical fatalism, which is closely related to the debate on free will, but is rarely explicitly linked to this debate.
