This research project focuses on service deployments for personalized and interactive multimedia consumption. Content Distribution Networks, Grids and Peer-to-Peer Networks are studied, because of important characteristics such as scalability, flexibility and performance. Distributed protocols and algorithms for network dimensioning, server placement and selection, routing and scheduling are researched and evaluated through testbed implementations.
