Project description

Study of the microbiological aetiology of lower respiratory tract infections (LRTI). Development of a diagnostic model to identify patients with a bacterial infection and pneumonia. Development of a prognostic model to identify patient with poor prognosis. Randomised controlled trial to compare the effectiveness of amoxicillin with placebo in 3000 patients with a LRTI.
