Project description

This project is focused on protocadherin-10 and protocadherin-11Y. The human PCDH10 gene is often inactivated in carcinomas. Alternatively, the human PCDH11Y gene is expressed as an unusal oncogenic form in a.o. progressed prostate carcinoma. Our major aim is the development and analysis of suitable mouse models, which will contribute to the indephth elucidation of the roles of these two protocadherins in cancer.
