Project description
Melanoma is a tumor with efficient immune-escape mechanisms, evading the host response. Our research group has demonstrated a worse prognosis in patients with IDO expression (an immunosuppressive enzyme) in the sentinel lymph node. We want to further investigate the driving mechanisms and immunological changes in IDO+ patients, and test an IDO-inhibitor as a novel immunotherapy in a mouse melanoma model.
