Project description

This research proposal aims to map the evolutions that occured within the Flemish legal culture throughout the 14th and 15th century. It intends to determine to what extent the prince remained to be seen primarily as a judge, or also as a legislator and a source of grace, and how his subjects privileges related to the princely legal prerogatives.
