Project description

Quantum Cascade Lasers are powerful coherent light sources for the mid-infrared. They are however currently only tunable over a small wavelenght range, except for external cavity devices that rely on the mechanical movement of a diffraction grating. In this project we will realize widely tunable QCLs based on filtered feedback provided by a silicon photonic IC to mitigate this issue.
