Project description

Technology is changing our society at a rapid pace. But not everyone is surfing the digital wave. In 2020 and 2022, the Digital Inclusion Barometer, based on research by UCLouvain and VUB at the request of the King Baudouin Foundation, exposed the extent of this digital divide. To continue the work started in 2020 to objectify the phenomenon of digital social inequalities in Belgium, the Foundation wishes to publish a 2024 edition of the "Barometer of Digital Inclusion". In particular, this assignment includes a secondary analysis of the data from the STATBEL-EUROSTAT survey on access to and use of digital technologies by households and individuals, currently the only representative survey on this subject in Belgium. The aim is to update the figures from the previous Barometers and to carry out some additional data analyzes based on new questions included in the questionnaire.
