Project description

Why is it that certain organism such as Sequoia trees become so large while other plants remains very small. Simiraly we want to understand what determines the size of a leaf, a petal or a seed. Most plant organs show a determined growth pattern resulting in a relatively constant organ size. The goal of this research proposal is to gain further insights in the mechanisms governing organ size higher plants with a major emphasis on leaf size.
