The goal of this project is to gain a better understanding in the molecular mechabnisms responsible for persitence and tolerance in Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Candida albicans en Burkholderia cenocepacia biofilms. By using mutant banks, transcriptome analysis and construction of mutants we will be able toobtain novel information regarding the phenomenon of persistende in fungi and bacteria.
