The object of the assignment is the preparation and evaluation of a new LAT reference surface for the Belgian part of the North Sea for cartography and navigation purposes.

Services include the analysis and processing of existing measurements with the aim of defining a reference surface for cartography and navigation.

Inventory and documentation of algorithms and procedures underlying the existing LAT surface.

Verification of the existing LAT surface using recent developments in the field (quasi-geoids, integration of IMU data from measuring vessels, integration of GNSS data from tide buoys and measuring vessels,...)

Interpretation of the quality of the existing Lat surface and determination of the room for improvement by applying new computational techniques.

Evaluation of other data sources for evaluating and recalculating a LAT surface
