The objective of the study is to analyze the economic integration in Africa and globally by using historical data of international trade from holistic perspectives and aimed to map the recent evolution of international trade in Ethiopia and identify trends in strategic sectors to promote efficiency and development. This broad study specifically will analyze the role of Ethiopia as regional partner among African countries and economic position in the global trade arena and examine either Ethiopia diversify or specialise its portfolio of exported products and commodities. This is one the the target area for goverment to sustain economic growth through creating massive employment and improving the living standards of citizen by ending poverty. Regarding to methodology aspects, this study will employ a network analysis so as to understand of the interdependence among the countries at regional and global level through the construction of a series of network indicators. In other word, this method aimed to address the question that does Ethiopia plays the central role in regional and global economic networks.
