Project description

The proposed research project consists of the simulation of cost-efficient long axial FOV PET system based on
monolithic detectors. Monolithic scintillators have proven superior spatial resolution with depth of interaction
compared to the clinical PET/TBPET systems with pixelated detectors. The design will then be constructed and
tested for clinical applications. This project includes performance measurements on the built system.
