Project description
MEAs provide a non-invasive and non-terminal method for recording electrical activity of electrogenic cells and tissue slices. During previous years we invested in the generation of cellular and animal models of neurological and cardiac diseases that affect neurogenic cells: inherited retinal diseases, neurodegenerative and neurodevelopmental diseases, epilepsy and heart diseases. MEAs are essential to functionally study these models and to assess responses to new therapies.
