Project description
The total available amount of mycotoxins in foodstuffs might currently be underestimated as masked mycotoxins escape traditional analytical detection. The aim of this study is to develop and validate two novel approaches for screening of masked mycotonxins and total mycotoxins (free + masked). These new methods combine immunoaffinity preconcentration with the enzymatic detection of the mycotoxin or (indirectly) the masking substance (e.g. glucose).
