UGent is at the forefront of advanced optical materials research in Europe with a vast portfolio of advanced femtosecond optical spectroscopy setups managed by the promotors of this application. However, several essential processes ocurring on extreme time/energy scales escape our measurement capabilities. With this proposal, we will bridge the final gap with top institutes in Europe to become an attractive center for optical materials research.
