Project description

The project aims at fundamental understanding and improvement of water-based radical emulsion polymerization processes for the synthesis of polymer nanoparticles, implying control over design parameters and a clear view on the interplay between chemistry and transport phenomena on the micro-, meso- and macro-scale. The model allows identification of optimal process parameters for the synthesis of core-shell nanoparticles at industrial scale.
